ZaZa Snacks is the maker of irresistible pita chips. The brand was recently born in Brooklyn, NY, but the origins of their flagship recipe run deep. We helped the ZaZa brand come to life, from the logo, through the packaging and photography, to the website and beyond.

Project Goals

As ZaZa hit the ground running on their recipes, the next step was to develop a visual identity for their new brand. Everything from a logo to packaging, they needed a brand that could extend online and on shelves. With a delicious product as our inspiration, we were excited to create a logo and visual language that would compliment the bold, zesty, and salty flavors of their custom Middle Eastern spice blend.

What We Did

Design Strategy, Moodboarding & Sketches

Did you try saying “ZaZa” out loud? It is fun. It has a great sound, with a zing. The logo needed to express that playfulness, as well as the full-bodied flavor of the original Za’atar seasoned chip.

Crafting a logo to embody this playful essence while capturing the rich flavor of our original Za'atar seasoned chip was crucial. Moreover, the brevity of the name lends itself well to becoming a distinctive mark. We dove right into research and exploration, thoroughly enjoying the process along the way.

Collateral & Other Pretty Things

From simple business cards, through sell sheets, t-shirts, postcards, all the way to packing tape. ZaZa’s brand extends in a cohesive style.

Expanding the brand to include a broader array of products.

Scaling the brand to accommodate more products was a seamless process. We promptly delivered new layouts and photography as soon as the ZaZa team was finalizing and producing the new flavors.
